Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 8, 2026
At Legal Way Group, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our client portal.
AI contract review and expert follow-up
When you use contract review, we collect your name and verify your email with a code. We save the contract you upload and the context you provide, such as your role, country or governing law, and concerns. If you request expert help, we also save your request, any optional phone number, the fee quote, your acceptance, and the team’s responses.
Your contract is uploaded to Legal Way Group’s servers and processed by our AI review service. With your agreement before upload, we share the full text extracted from your contract and your submitted context with third-party AI processing providers to generate the summary, findings, and suggested changes. For scanned PDFs, we also share the original PDF, including its scanned pages, with these providers to read the text. This may include personal or confidential information within the document or context. This differs from the legal research feature described below: contract review sends your contract text to the model. Only upload documents you are authorized to share.
We use storage service providers to store the original file in private storage, together with extracted text, review results, and related records. Authorized Legal Way staff can access this information to operate the service, review results, and handle expert requests. Your review workspace is linked to your verified email. Retention follows the policy on this page and the firm’s obligations; completing a review does not automatically delete its data.
We use email service providers for transactional emails, including verification codes, review status notices, fee quotes, and expert request updates. These emails provide links back to your review workspace; we do not attach your contract or annotated copy.
We use HTTP-only session cookies to keep you signed in. Review-only access lasts up to seven days; when you continue in the client portal, its sign-in session also applies. We also use a signed browser identifier cookie lasting one year, and hashed values derived from your IP address, account, and browser identifiers, to enforce usage limits and reduce abuse. The free allowance is two contracts in any 24 hours and five in any seven days, applied across the account, browser, and network; people sharing a device or network may share an allowance.
You can choose not to use AI review and contact the firm directly. For access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent for future processing, use the contact details below. Our AI processing, storage, and email service providers operate under their applicable terms and practices; this notice does not promise that providers retain no data.
AI-assisted legal research
This is an automated legal-information tool, not a lawyer. Its answers are general, non-binding information, not professional advice, a legal opinion, or a commitment by Legal Way Group. Using it or submitting an enquiry does not itself engage the firm or create a lawyer–client relationship. Representation requires separate confirmation by the team. Do not rely on this tool for a decision, filing, or deadline. For professional advice, contact the Legal Way Group team. Nothing here excludes duties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Keep questions general: no names, contact details, identification numbers, medical details or confidential case facts; chat is not a privileged consultation. Legal Way Group’s AI service providers may process your question, limited recent user-message context and public source material to explain the answer. Exa receives general legal search terms selected by our server, not your raw message or intake fields. Providers may retain and process data under their terms; Exa may use queries to improve its services unless different contractual terms apply. Automated checks do not guarantee anonymity. We do not use visitor conversations or live search results to train our legal library. Intake fields and files are sent to the team only after you confirm the separate form and are not sent to these AI/search providers. Hosting/security providers may process request metadata. Contact the team directly if you prefer not to use AI.
Legal Way Group is responsible for this feature. Research and its questions are optional; if you do not continue, you can contact the team directly. For access, correction or objection requests, use the contact details below. Contact forms and the client portal follow their separate practices described on this page; the research feature’s source-only model processing does not automatically apply to those other flows.
